My daughter has her Halloween party at school this week, and I can’t resist making an orange smoothie to bring. I made this a little sweeter than normal, but I wanted to make sure all the little goblins and ghosts in her class would enjoy this smoothie. It gets it’s bright orange color from carrots, and lots of sweet flavors from pineapple and orange.
I love that her class is taking steps to make sure the party is healthier than the average. We’ll have a fruit tray and vegetable tray, both shaped like pumpkins found in the Healthy Halloween Ideas post, homemade chicken fingers, and we are decorating pumpkin shaped sugar cookies (also homemade) with chocolate chips. They’ll have Halloween crafts and games to play, as well. I can’t wait to see her class all dressed up! Halloween is always one of my favorite days of the year!
| Pineapple Orange Carrot Smoothie |
- 1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1/2 cup carrots (about 2 medium carrots, peeled and chopped)
- 1 1/2 cups pineapple
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1 handful of ice
- Add all the ingredients to a blender
- Start on a low speed, slowly increasing to high
- Blend until smooth, about 1 minute
This made 5 servings that were 6oz. Double or triple as needed.

Hi Victoria! I love your website, it has really inspired me eat even more healthy than I already have been. I have a quick question for you- did you use a whole pineapple and chop it for this recipe, or do you used frozen or canned? Thanks!
Hi Alicia! Thank you for the message! I use fresh pineapple.
Have a great day!
