Mango Ginger Green Tea Smoothie

Mango Ginger Green Tea Smoothie

Green Tea has loads of great benefits and putting it in a smoothie makes it great for those who may not typically drink tea.  Drinking 2 -3 cups of green tea a day has shown to increase your metabolism enough to burn an extra 60 calories.  I’m not big on counting calories but it’s good to know there is an added benefit.  Green Tea is also full of antioxidants.  There are two brands I have been enjoying, Tazo Lotus Green Tea (decaf) and Allegro Pomegranate Green Tea (caffeinated).

Mango is one of my favorite fruits.  I’m happy to have it in fresh, in a smoothie, frozen, in salsa, however I can get it!  A whole mango has about 135 calories, 4g of fiber, 35% vitamin A, almost 100% of vitamin C, 15% vitamin K, and has high water content. Another good thing, they are on the clean 15 so you don’t have to pay organic prices. That’s a lot of nutrition packed into one sweet fruit!

This smoothie is refreshing and sweet!  I enjoyed it as written in the recipe below and also with a handful of greens blended in too.  Happy Smoothie Saturday!
